Ova Quintet, eclectic and energetic sound
Serene and thoughtful landscapes, thundering clouds, mighty mountains and cheerfully meandering streams are the ingredients of the music of Ova Quintet.
The five musicians all have different musical backgrounds: Sander has his roots in jazz and South American music on different types of guitars. Wilco has a classical background, but can make his violin sing to the tunes of Scandinavia. Vincent has been playing Irish folk for many, many years on the diatonic melodeon and bodhrán. Serxio grew up in Galicia and has the traditional music of Galicia flowing through his veins and in the sweet and uplifting sounds of his flute. Ines studied double bass and brings the warm sounds of South America into the music.
Together they form Ova Quintet, with a beautiful, eclectic and energetic sound that nourishes the thoughts and lifts the hearts.
