French chansons with Miriam
Miriam de Vroome has been making music her whole life. As a child she received classical guitar lessons, where she quickly started singing. She performed with many pop and jazz bands and was part of a music theatre group for many years. After many musical wanderings she went to the conservatory. In Arnhem and Zwolle she studied singing light music. Nowadays Miriam often performs solo with a jazzy or chanson repertoire.
She has put together an intimate French-language programme especially for the Tuin de Lage Oorsprong with songs by Jacques Brel, Marie Laforet, Yves Duteil and many more.
Miriam accompanies herself on the guitar. As a guest musician for this program she has invited Martijn Luttmer, all-rounder on the – chromatic – harmonica. With his warm, melancholic sounds he will spin the chansons.
