Muziekvoorstelling Veluvine ‘Basily Gipsy Band’
Gipsy Party by The Basily Gipsy Band is a sparkling concert full of gipsy hits, surprising covers and personal stories about their roots and passion.
In May 2024, Basily was one of the guest performers at ‘De Toppers’ in the Arena in Amsterdam. They performed three times in a sold-out Arena and accompanied René Froger, OG3NE and Emma Heesters, among others. Their participation in ‘De Toppers’ did not go unnoticed and in the days following the concerts their mailbox exploded with requests. In ‘Gipsy Party’ the Basily’s bring a swinging theater concert with all the big gipsy-style world hits and also bring surprising covers of well-known hits, but then in a new Gipsy jacket as only the virtuoso Basily’s can! Traveling, life, parties, language, sadness, their roots, passion and letting go of some things are also discussed. The Basily Gipsy Band played at all major (Gipsy) Festivals and in theaters all over the world, such as: the North Sea Jazz Festival; Django Reinhardt Festival in Samois France; Jak festival Indonesia; Copenhagen Jazz Festival and a theatre tour through Japan. One of the great moments in their career was the joint performance with Stéphane Grappelli, the violinist of grandmaster Django Reinhardt. They performed together in the Circus Theater Scheveningen and in the Concertgebouw in Munich, Germany. In addition, the Basily’s performed at private parties of the Rolling Stones and there was a performance with the world famous guitarist Jeff Beck. In addition, they performed all over the world with the Dutch ‘Flairck’ of Erik Visser.
