The House of Orange lived and worked at Paleis Het Loo for more than 300 years. It was a real ‘countryside’ and was used as a hunting and holiday accommodation. The Oranjes received their guests there for entertainment and business. That is why a lot of attention was paid to the gardens.

The Oranges
The House of Orange lived at Paleis Het Loo for more than 300 years. They received their guests and strolled through the gardens, enjoying exotic flowers and plants. The gardens and stables are an important and beautiful part of Het Loo. Horses had a royal stay in the stables and impressive carriages and cars can be found in the coach houses. In the palace you follow the audio stories and hear more about the residents. A rich and generous past that you can view and experience at Paleis Het Loo.
