Nunspeet is still known as an artists’ village. Along the way you will see colorful heaths, forests and sand drifts and who knows, you might even spot wildlife…

Picturesque & colorful
The day starts in Nunspeet, at the junction of the Veluwe massif and the Veluwemeer. Green meadows are bordered by hedgerows, farms and heathlands. Literally a picturesque area, because many artists found inspiration here.
Vierhouten comes into view. A small village that, according to tradition, is named after four surrounding forests. One of these is the Vierhouterbos, where red deer, fallow deer and roe deer, among others, feel at home. The Royal Family used to go hunting here, but since Staatsbosbeheer has taken over, this is no longer allowed. Just like Nunspeet, Elspeet is also popular with tourists. There are several churches, a mill and burial mounds in the area. Part of the center has been labeled as a ‘protected villagescape’. We set sail across the colorful heathlands to another charming place, namely Ermelo. You will also find many holiday facilities in this green village.
Through forests and sand drifts, the last stopover in Nunspeet is already in sight. You end at Di Verso Het IJscafé for a tasty dessert.
