This route leads you through the eastern part of the Veluwezoom where you cycle through the municipality of Rheden and the municipality of Rozendaal. Along the way you will discover the castles and estates in the area.
‘Gelders Arcadia’ is an area in the Veluwezoom National Park that is known for the extensive estates, country estates and castles that you find there. The hilly landscape always had great appeal to wealthy families. That is why they built their country houses there and created the most beautiful gardens and parks. This route leads you through the eastern part of the Veluwezoom and passes the Middachten Estate in De Steeg (turn right at junction 83) and Kasteel and Park Rosendael. Along the way you will also cycle through a beautiful landscape with heathlands.
