The Renderklips is a nature reserve that consists of moraines covered with heather. The moraines were formed many thousands of years ago by ice, water and finally man. Over the years, the Rhine and the Meuse also deposit countless tons of silt, sand, soil and boulders in the Netherlands. The wind took its course and moved large amounts of sand over enormous distances. The dozens of meters high nature reserve De Renderklippen is the impressive, much-visited result. Height differences, hills, sandy paths, lakes and a lonely tree here and there are typical of this area. Deer, deer, wild boars and sheep roam the area.
