The influences of the Royal House are clearly felt and visible in Apeldoorn and the surrounding area. In the forests of Kroondomein Het Loo you can still experience the influence that the royal family has exerted on the area over the past hundreds of years.
Apeldoorn and the surrounding area has a rich history and connection with the Royal House. The Route Royale combines these with various Veluwe landscape types. You start at Brasserie het Jachthuis. This attractive brasserie is located in the former hunting lodge of King Stadtholder Willem III and is located on the most beautiful point of the picturesque Hoog Soeren. This route takes you past Het Loo Palace, the Palace Park, the Naald, the Oranjepark, the ‘t Sol Estate and through Hoog Buurlo. You cycle through Kroondomein Het Loo for a large part of the route. In this extensive estate you can experience peace, space and silence.
