There are moors, beautiful views and easily accessible bridleways. The chance of seeing the “wild” Icelandic horses, deer, deer and boars makes this route unforgettable and incomparable to others… Be sure to look at the path along the field, at the back of ‘Herikhuizen Viewpoint’, good to to. The main route is approximately 16 kilometers, but can be shortened or extended with our suggestions.

The route goes over slightly hilly terrain with tough climbs. The sandy paths on the heathlands are quite loose in some places. Good condition of the horses is a prerequisite here. Take your time on this route, keep in mind that your average speed will not be much higher than 6.5 km per hour. It is therefore quite possible that the route takes part of a day. For the long-distance riders, this route can possibly be connected to the Laag-Soeren equestrian and driving route.

Please note: You will come across cattle grids along the route, the iron bars of which are further apart than regular cattle grids. You ca n’t get over that with your horse! Always go through the gate that you find on the side of the cattle grid. If your horse has difficulty with narrow riding gates, this route is not suitable.
