It is now possible to take a nice outdoor ride around the most famous building of Radio Kootwijk, also known as The Cathedral. This tour on the Midden Veluwe goes through forests, heathland and sand drifts. The route is 23 kilometers long and suitable for both drivers and riders.
Route information
You can drive around the Cathedral from the P Veluwe Kootwijkerduin car park, located directly on the A1 motorway at the Kootwijk exit. At the parking lot, go back to the entrance, turn left again before the provincial road and further on, turn left up the hill to start the route.
It is a route of 18.6 km along the quiet places of the Veluwe and around De Kathedraal without being bothered by other traffic. This beautiful route can be followed from the parking lot with junctions; start – 01 – 42 – 43 – 41 – 45 – 47 – 52 – 51 – 49 – 15 – 16 – 17 – 44 – 43 – 42 – 01 – start .
Special features: wide sandy paths, no catering facilities along the way, between 16 and 17 a heavy sandy path.
