Many old streams and springs run through various areas of the Veluwe. During the Bekenroute around Vaassen you will pass several of these special small waters in a wooded area: a wonderful route to relax!

Cannenburch Castle
During the route you will pass Cannenburch Castle, which has played an important role in the Vaassen area throughout history. The use of stream water is also thanks to the castle. A large part of the streams and mills were owned by the castle. The streams you encounter during the walk all flow into each other. Although less and less use is made of the streams and springs, the laundry and trout farm still benefit from the clear water.
