In the Leuvenum forests you will discover different types of nature such as heathlands, drifting sand areas and the meandering stream through the forest. The Leuvenum stream is the longest stream in the Veluwe and is no less than 17 kilometers long. It runs from the Uddelermeer to the Veluwemeer.

There are stately beech trees along the Leuvenum stream, which provide a different experience every season. In autumn you will encounter mushrooms and in winter you can hear the stream flowing. In spring and summer you can hear many birds singing or a woodpecker drumming. Who knows, you might even see a kingfisher passing by! In addition to birds, there is also a lot of wildlife in the Leuvenum forests. With a bit of luck you might spot wild boar or red deer!
