You walk through an authentic part of the former Ede barracks grounds. At three points there are panels with information about events from the Second World War.

You will see, among other things, the Arthur Kool barracks. Built in the early 20th century in the shape of an H. In ‘chalet style’, which provides a lot of light. Behind this building you walk past the former stables of the cavalry and artillery. This is where, among other things, the Jorisbrood bakery is located and the Ede Military History Platform has found shelter.

The fascias of all historic buildings in this area are identically designed, the window frames have regained the same characteristic blue color. Just outside this area you will find a bench at the end of Eikenlaan, on the other side of Klinkenbergerweg. A copper plate refers to a sad story about two innocent ladies from Ede.
