Wandelen op Landgoed Schovenhorst

Schovenhorst is famous for its tree gardens. These arose in the 19th and 20th centuries from nursery and forestry experiments with conifers. The estate includes five tree gardens or arboreta: Kleine Pinetum (1852), Grote Pinetum (1901), Josina Park (1906), Arboretum (1938) and Driecontinentenbos (1967). Three themed walks have been set out on the estate: tree gardens, heritage and forest.

The routes are described in the brochure and indicated with posts with colored pictures: green for the tree gardens, red for cultural history and yellow for the forest.
Also book a tour. A guide will take you through the forest and tree gardens and tell you all about the estate. A tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours, costs 5 euros per person and is only on request. The group size is a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 people. For larger groups, more guides are assigned.

You can walk the three routes using the signage. Brochures of the routes are available at VVV Putten.
