Park Rosendael is one of the oldest parks in our country.

Making use of the natural decline and the flowing water, ponds, waterfalls and fountains were constructed in a formal style in the 17th century. From 1721, the park has been embellished with works of art (such as the shell gallery and the deceivers), designed by Daniel Marot. In 1837, the park was redesigned in the so-called landscape style, based on a design by JD Zocher Jr. It took on a more natural appearance with winding paths, ponds and special tree species.
