Game of the Deelerwoud

The Deelerwoud is a relatively quiet nature reserve that has everything you expect from the Veluwe: rolling landscape, vast heathlands and beautiful forests. Moreover, there is a very good chance that you will encounter wildlife here. So don’t be surprised if you suddenly spot a wild boar, fallow deer, red deer or even Scottish highlander!

‘Deer in the Deelerwoud’ is a varied wildlife walk of 8 kilometers. The route starts at the Woeste Hoeve car park. This walk is a route of Natuurmonumenten. Knowing more? Please look here for more information.

Please note: during the red deer rut (between September 15 and October 15), routes in the Deelerwoud are partly inaccessible between 4:00 PM and 10:00 AM. The inaccessible areas are indicated with signs.
