On top of the Goudsberg you will find a landmark, De Hessenhut. This lookout tower offers a beautiful view over the Lunterse Eng.
De Hessenhut lookout tower is a beautiful landmark on De Goudsberg in Lunteren, a characteristic entrance from the Meulunterseweg and part of the Center of the Netherlands. The viewpoint has three levels, the top ring gives a beautiful view over the Lunterse Eng and allows you to stand at tree level. On the ground floor you can sit in the Hessen hut or at the semi-circular picnic table. At the bottom you will find a hole to experience the forest and from there to walk further into the forest. The hole symbolizes the digging for gravel and the ice age in which this moraine was created.
