This route takes you along and through the many beautiful forest and heathland areas that Ede has to offer, with the Ginkelse Hei as its central focal point.
The mountain bike trails in this area are located in the area northeast of Ede (Luntersche Buurtbosch, Driesprong, De Valouwe, Edese bos, Roekelsche bosch). This area has many beautiful forest areas. This route takes you along and through the many beautiful forest and heathland areas that Ede has to offer, with the Ginkelse Hei as its central focal point. The area is characterized by varied landscapes where many animal species such as red deer and wild boar, but also large grazers, are allowed and can move freely.
Nature of the route
The route in Ede is a combination of challenging single tracks (17 in total), each with their own charm. The route includes technical cornering, fast sections with smooth banked turns and pump track components. Good use has been made of the differences in height in the various areas, which creates a wonderful flow. The route is alternated with connecting sections that help you catch your breath. It is a challenging course for both beginners and advanced riders. The route will be linked to the routes yet to be constructed in Lunteren (purple route) and Otterlo (blue route). Because the MTB Zuid-Veluwe route network is so central, connections can also be made to routes in, for example, Oosterbeek, Renkum and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
