Are you looking for a walk off the beaten track? Then walk the Oldenallerpad, a breathtaking clog path in the area of Putten.

You walk through a centuries-old castle forest, across farmland, along hedgerows, streams and heathland. The alternation of culture and nature determines the atmosphere here. Put on your clogs or boots, put on your backpack and go! At De Zoete Inval, a farm that is still in operation, the young calves can be admired from behind a modern sky box. In the summer months you can go there for a farm ice cream or a cup of coffee. Be sure to stop along the way at the beautifully renovated sheepfold of natural monuments that is now a rest and information point.

The route is indicated with a red marker in the shape of a clog. The Oldenallerpad is marked in two directions, so you can walk the route either left or right. The route can be shortened to 6 km (starts from De Zoete Inval) or to 3.5 km (from Parkeerplaats aan de Waterweg). It can be extended up to 11 km or 12 km via the Groot Hellerweg. This is indicated on the map in the brochure and in the field with markings.

Dogs prohibited
As a walker you are a guest. Entering private property is indicated with a special opening sign. A dog ban also applies. Stray dogs can cause unrest among livestock, game or meadow birds. In addition, they can spread diseases. That is why dogs are prohibited on Klompenpads.

A guest on private land
Wooden paths regularly run across a farmer’s property, along a stream or over a ditch. This is often private property. There is close cooperation with farmers and landowners who allow recreational shared use. Without their permission there would not have been so many Klompenpads.

Klompen paths are routes through the farmland in the provinces of Gelderland and Utrecht. The Gelderse Klompen paths are constructed and maintained by the Gelderland Landscape Management Foundation.
