In the distance you can spot the Puurveense Mill. This was the iconic building of Kootwijkerbroek for centuries. After this mill burned down in 1964 and the lack of a mill concerned the village, the ‘De Puurveense Molen’ Foundation worked to rebuild the mill. This was successful and the ‘new’ Puurveense Mill was opened in 2016. Here you can now buy various baking products and have a chat with the Molenaar.
