The Grote or De Eusebiuskerk has determined the cityscape of Arnhem for more than five centuries and tells the history of the Gelderland capital from the Middle Ages to the Second World War and the reconstruction.

History from burial vault to church hall

The church hall has many historical objects, including the oldest suit of armor in the Netherlands, the mausoleum of the Duke of Gelre (Karel van Egmond) and the famous Strümphler organ. The church hall also provides access to the burial vaults and the predecessor of the Eusebius Church, the St. Martin’s Church, which dates from the year 1000-1100.

The Eusebius Church is both historic and contemporary and is frequently used for a variety of activities and events. De Eusebius Church also regularly has (temporary) exhibitions about the history of De Eusebius Church.
