On the border of the municipalities of Brummen and Voorst you will find a special nature reserve: De Empese and Tondense Heide. A nature reserve that – contrary to what the name suggests – consists of exceptionally flowery grassland.
Discover this special nature reserve with the red marked walking route (approx. 5 km), which – contrary to what the name suggests – consists of exceptionally flowery grassland. Rare plants such as Spanish horseman and spotted orchid grow here. The route is also very wet outside the boardwalk, especially in winter, boots are indispensable here!
