The special location of Belmonte alone makes a visit to this garden worthwhile. It was not without reason that the estate was named Belmonte, which means beautiful mountain.

The special location of Belmonte alone makes a visit to this garden worthwhile. It was not without reason that the estate was named Belmonte, which means beautiful mountain. When you walk along the mountain edge on the south side of the garden, you will be surprised by beautiful views. Here you can enjoy the view over the Lower Rhine, with the characteristic Betuwe country on the other side: the dikes, the meadows with pollard willows and the farms. In clear weather you can see as far as the Waalstad Nijmegen.

In addition, this garden (or park) of over 10.7 hectares is one of the large botanical gardens in the Netherlands with special collections of trees, shrubs and shrubs. And they all have their own nameplate. Careful and responsible handling of our collections gives this garden the status of Registered Museum!

The location, the collections, but also its use as a walking or city park make the Belmonte Arboretum a special place. A place that many have a fond memory of, a place where the yes word has been given many times.

Lawns that can be used, plants that we are careful with: in short, something for everyone.
