Hotel Restaurant de Echoput is located on historic grounds in the middle of Kroondomein Het Loo, the royal forests of Paleis Het Loo. King Louis Napoleon had a well dug at this location in 1809. When this well turned out to have a special echo, Queen Wilhelmina had a tea house built there in 1936. In 1955 the Klosse family came to the Echoput. Since then, the Echoput has grown from a tea house to a top restaurant and a spacious 5-star hotel-restaurant with various meeting rooms, heated indoor swimming pool, body spa, bar and cooking school.

Total gastronomic experience

De Echoput has been specialized in natural (game) preparations and wine-food combinations for years. This started in the 1950s with the vision of grandfather Jaap Klosse, who specialized in the products that could be found around the house, such as game, mushrooms and berries. Although ‘local’ is a big trend now, this way of working was unique at the time. Son Peter Klosse then further specialized in taste and combining wines and dishes. The third Klosse generation is now active in the company.

The philosophy of the Echoput is a total gastronomic experience. To enjoy a culinary weekend, unwind in the spacious hotel rooms and relax in the surrounding nature. The special environment plays a major role in this. For example, during the season, the Echoput works with local Veluwe game and various vegetables, herbs, mushrooms and fruits from the immediate area.
