Landgoed Klarenbeek

The Klarenbeek Estate is an Industrial Heritage Site and has been in family hands for 8 generations. The driving force behind the Klarenbeek Estate is the Krepel family, who set up a copper crushing plant in 1732. In 1870, the coppersmith’s shop was converted into a cigar box factory and in 1950 a door factory was added. Doors are still produced on the estate and furniture restoration takes place. Klarenbeek Estate is the place “where art and craft flow together”.

The craft has always played an important role on the estate. It even created the estate! Many elements of the old Sawmill of the Cigar Box Factory are still visible in the nationally listed factory buildings and these create a particularly pleasant atmosphere. These buildings, called Galerie Bij Krepel, are now decorated with art, old photos and old machines. The waterfall, with a drop of 3.5 meters that provided the energy, is also still present.

The love for the craft is also palpable in the furniture restoration workshop and in the professional kitchen. All this makes Landgoed Klarenbeek an inspiring location for business events, weddings, parties, workshops and nature recreation. Also the place where you can have your valuable interior pieces restored, admire beautiful works of art at the exhibitions, but also dine in the annual pop-up restaurant in the old Sawmill of the Cigar Box Factory. In addition to a wedding and meeting location, a beautiful B&B has been created in the former cigar box factory (national monument) with 1 suite and 2 double rooms, as well as a spacious lounge with lounge corner and private kitchen. The B&B is located on an estate with many walking and cycling routes. Guests can also use the terrace.
