Museum Elburg

Come to Museum Elburg and discover the story of the Hanseatic city of Elburg, which is told through historical events, buildings and characters.

We take you through the history of the Hanseatic city of Elburg in six themes: City with a plan; City of Faith; City full of activity; City of the Right; City on the water and City of benefactors.

When you go into the city after your visit, you will see the city with completely different eyes!

In addition to the permanent collection, this museum hosts several temporary exhibitions every year on various (art) historical subjects. Behind the museum is the attractive Monastery Garden where you regularly see sculpture exhibitions. Step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the peace and quiet.

You can attend lectures and workshops here or listen to performances and concerts. There is an escape route through the museum for families. Find out who is trying to steal the museum’s treasures and help protect the treasures. And for children there is the possibility to hold a children’s party with the theme “Find the treasure”.
