There are also surprising exhibitions in the field of modern and contemporary art. Every six weeks, a new exhibition with work by a local artist can be viewed in the Smeepoortzaal on the ground floor.
The stories also continue outside the museum walls. Follow the sculpture route through the historic city center or admire the 16th century vault paintings in the Grote Kerk.
