The R. de Groot eel smokehouse has been smoking eel in the traditional way since 1850. Founded in Harderwijk and located on the Buitenbrinkweg in Ermelo for many years.
Eel smokehouse R. de Groot has grown into a real family business. Father and both sons and daughter work with heart and soul in the traditional smokehouse.
The eel smokehouse consists of a traditional smokehouse, fish hall, shop and a wholesaler of fish and fish products. The branch in Ermelo was completely renovated in 2005 and the store is worth a visit for true eel and other fish lovers.
Various types of eel are prepared in the traditional smokehouse.
The IJsselmeer eel and Irish eel are used to make:
