Hotel facilities

De Cantharel has 157 modern, beautifully furnished hotel rooms, ranging from comfort rooms to suites and family rooms, many with a private terrace or balcony. There are also two comfortable disabled hotel rooms and a separate disabled toilet. The attractive rooms have a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a shower, sun shower and/or bath and a separate toilet. Free WiFi is available. There is a small shop in the hotel lobby for drinks, snacks, gifts and regional products. Room service is available for a fee.

The wellness center consists of a sauna, Turkish steam bath, foot baths and heated water beds (swimwear required). Treatment in the beauty center is subject to payment. There is a separate fitness room. (At the end of 2019 we will open a wellness garden with a covered indoor/outdoor swimming pool and various sauna and relaxation facilities in the garden).

Culinary

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner (live cooking buffet and á la carte) in the attractive restaurants, the brasserie and on the terrace. We cook with products from our own garden and from the region. English and German menus are available in the restaurant. Hidden behind the hotel is the intimate restaurant Huisje James, where cooking is done at a high culinary level.

Outdoor facilities

Beautiful walking and cycling routes depart from the hotel via the junction system across the Veluwe. The hotel has its own outdoor information point for routes and bicycle rental (including E-bikes and MTBs) and has a locked bicycle shed. Carriage rides and covered wagon rides through nature are also organized from here.

(You can also bring your own horse; the hotel has modern horse stables and meadows. You can follow the Veluwe path on horseback.)

Location & accessibility

Hotel Apeldoorn – de Cantharel is a stone’s throw from the A1 (exit 19) and the A50. From Apeldoorn station there is a direct bus connection, line 108S towards Ede, to the stop in front of the hotel. The nearest airports are Airport Weeze (66 km) and Schiphol (80 km).

De Cantharel has more than 350 free parking spaces on site, a number of which are equipped with electric charging points for both regular electric cars and superchargers for Teslas. Touring buses can be placed at the rear of the parking lot.
