Stadspark Berg en Bos

J.C. Wilslaan 21, Apeldoorn

In the Berg & Bos City Park in Apeldoorn you will find more than 250 hectares of Veluwe trees, plants and animals. There is also plenty to discover for children.

Adjacent to the Crown domains of Paleis Het Loo lies the nature reserve Stadspark Berg & Bos. In the park of over 250 hectares you will find authentic plants, trees and animals from the Veluwe. In addition, children can have a great time in Stadspark Berg & Bos.

The park has a long history. For example, near the forest pond is the ‘Stone Bench’ where Queen Wilhelmina used to paint. The entire park is a unique combination of beautiful flora, fauna and culture.

On the left at the end of Jubileumlaan is a 26 meter high lookout tower on a nine meter hill. From the top walkway of this tower you have a view over Berg & Bos and the surrounding area. On clear days the visibility extends to Deventer and Zwolle (approximately 40 km). The tower has a climb of 128 steps that takes you above the highest treetops. A beautiful view! Admission to the entire park is free.
