Family castle on the watery Veluwe. Ancient treasures, richly furnished rooms and paintings that come to life…
Cannenburch Castle was built on the ruins of a medieval castle by the Gelderland field marshal Marten van Rossem. The castle is located on the edge of a water-rich park where the height differences between the water features still keep the last remaining mill turning.
Audio tour & more
The castle and park can be visited by means of a (children’s) audio tour in which the original inhabitants take you back to the life of a noble family in the 18th century. Wander through richly furnished rooms, discover age-old treasures and be surprised by paintings that come to life.
Start the walking route in the estate shop of the Bouwhuis. In the Gewelvenkelder of the castle you will find the castle shop and Bij Maarten ‘t Koetshuis you can enjoy lunch, drinks and dinner.
