For the history of Hoekelum Castle we go back to the fourteenth century, 1325 to be precise. Nowadays the castle and the coach house are used for all kinds of occasions.

Hoekelum is a castle and estate between Ede and Bennekom . The oldest mention dates from 1396. The original design of the estate was sleek and formal. Changes were made around 1900. There are curved paths with trees in the forest and groups of trees were planted in the meadows. Ponds, watercourses, bridges and a tea dome were added.

Outbuildings Hoekelum

The estate also has a carriage house, cheese farm, bakehouse, forester’s house and a gazebo. The meadow in front of the country house is regularly used for events, such as the traditional equestrian competition on Ascension Day and various estate fairs. Hoekelum is a popular location for weddings, parties and group gatherings. It is also possible to stay overnight.
