Museumboerderij De Mariahoeve

Kiefveldersteeg 11, Putten

Museum farm De Mariahoeve is a small open-air museum that shows the former life on a Veluwe farm. Complete with vegetable garden, orchard, tuber field and toad pool.

What makes the Mariahoeve unique is that ‘everything’ is still there, as Maria left it. The furniture is still in place, clothing and linen are in the cupboards and the filled preserving bottles are still in the basement.

Some enthusiastic volunteers have created an audio tour. As a visitor you will receive an I-pad so that you can listen to the tour at various points and on a fixed walking route!

The Puttens Historical Society Foundation (PHG) is the initiator of this complex. Established with the aim of preserving the Mariahoeve as an agricultural and cultural heritage for the future and making it accessible to the public.

About 40 volunteers work at the Mariahoeve to provide support. Volunteer work covers various tasks. From pruning the hedge to informing guests for the tours and in the Schenkerij.

Hospitality is their top priority!

But there is more! you can also spend the night at the Mariahoeve. Stay in one of the renovated guesthouses, sleep in a hiker’s hut or book a spot at the campsite. You can also go to the Mariahoeve for a meeting or a party!
