Start your visit to the Veluwe from Ede. It’s the perfect starting point for exploring the countryside or heading into town!
This parking lot on the edge of Ede allows you to see a different part of Ede than the center or to quickly find yourself in nature.
🚶 Take a short 1.8 km walk around the former Ede barracks site and learn about events from World War II with the military walking route: Barracks Site Loop . Looking for more nature? Try the Sysselt Walk, which takes you through a diverse nature reserve. This is a great route for children, and it’s only 4.7 km long.
🚴 A cycling route also starts from this location: the Ede Arnhem Military Heritage Route. The 55 km route takes you past barracks in Ede and sites where fighting took place during World War II, such as the Ginkelse Heide.
🅿️ The starting location can be reached from various points, whether you come from the A12 or from the Rijksweg N224.
