Over nature & outdoor
At the northernmost tip of the Veluwe, overlooking the IJssel Valley, lies the Molecaten Estate. In autumn, it is a beautiful place for a walk. On Sunday, October 4, IVN Zwolle is organizing an excursion there.
While walking, you will experience nature and learn about the history and origins of this beautiful estate. There is much to see: various types of mushrooms, plants, and animals. We might even spot the black woodpecker, a shy woodland bird. And, of course, the manor house, the granary, and the Spanish tombs. We will pay special attention to the spring-fed streams, which powered mills for hundreds of years. The walk starts at 2:00 PM at the parking lot in front of Herberg Molecaten. The walk is approximately five kilometers and takes one and a half to two hours. Cost: The excursion is free, but a voluntary contribution helps us and nature! No cash with you? No problem, a QR code will help. Registration required: No
